The organisers of “The Africa Education Medal” have announced the finalists for the 2023 edition of the prestigious award.

The Medal is acclaimed to be Africa’s most prestigious education accolade established to recognise the exemplary feats of brains behind the transformation of education across the continent.

The initiative, a brain work of T4 Education and Hewlett-Packard (HP), in collaboration with Microsoft is also aimed at celebrating stories of those who have lit the spark of change and inspired others to take up the torch.

Among the finalists announced by the organisers is the Chief Executive Officer of J A Africa, Simi Nwogugu.

Nwogugu is recognised for her passion and commitment to youths as demonstrated in J A Africa’s workforce comprising 37% youths.

Her organisation is renowned for pushing and empowering young people to grow their entrepreneurial ideas, hone their work readiness skills, manage their earnings and secure better life for self, families, and communities.

She is also known for her advocacy on girls’ education, with one of her well embraced initiatives being the Leadership, Empowerment Achievement & Development (LEAD) Camp for Girls that has inspired and empowered over 1,200 young girls to become high-achieving women leaders in society.
