“Big A”, as he is known by many, is considered one of the most respected and reputable figures in African diaspora entertainment and has worked with some of Africa’s most prominent entertainment exports. Accompanied by his beautiful and elegant wife, Ifeoma Obiagwu and first son, Ik Obiagwu, Mr. Obiagwu danced into a well-planned golden jubilee celebration to the choruses of friends and family.

Anderson Obiagwu commented, “I am bringing my 50th party to Nigeria because my journey began here, and home is where the heart is. I feel great, more youthful, and generally thankful to be here. I will always be grateful to everyone who has supported me and showed up to celebrate with me tonight. It is indeed a milestone worth celebrating.”.

The celebrant is also a humanitarian of note who has done much in philanthropy through his foundation and annual Christmas parties for children.

Describing her husband, Ifeoma Obiagwu commented, “We are lucky to have him. He is an amazing husband, father, and friend to all. It’s been more than two decades of bliss, laughter, and love. God has been faithful to us”.

Family, friends and colleagues in the industry gave the celebrant accolades and celebrated his achievement in life and career. “When you look around and see the number of musicians here to celebrate ‘Big A’ is a testament to who he is and his contribution to the industry and personal lives”, said 2face Idibia

Guests were served three-course meals and delicious desserts, and a toast to the celebrant led by his son, IK Obiagwu. At midnight on the 9th of April, it was time to celebrate his beautiful wife and partner of more than two decades, Ifeoma Obiagwu, as she also turned a year older. They also enjoyed performances by Flavour, Iyanya, Goya Menor, Bracket and Phyno. It was indeed a weekend of double celebration.
