APC Beefs up Security at National Secretariat, as Party Inaugurates State Chairmen

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has beefed up security at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja as the leadership of the party inaugurates the newly-elected State Chairmen of the party.

The increased security at the Buhari House was part of the effort by the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) to forestall break down of law and order especially from the aggrieved members of the party

Already, the party is faced with crisis in Osun, Kwara, Kano, Zamfara, Lagos, Ekiti, among others where parallel congresses were held.

The Caretaker Committee had late Wednesday night issued a circular, ordering the Secretariat staff to stay away from work in an attempt to have only few manageable staff for fear of breakdown of law and order.

At the moment, journalists, as well as supporters of soon to be inaugurated chairmen are also prevented from accsessing the party secretariat.

The inauguation of the state Chairmen will start by 2p.m
