Ugochukwu Emmanuel Chinonso, professionally known as Darvey Rucci has shared the reason he decided to go into content creation and short film making. In a recent interview, the entrepreneur, actor, upcoming singer and content creator said, “Yes I’m into content creation and skit making because I find it creative as I love creativity. When I watch foreign movies I get jealous of their works and tend to create mine too. Entertainment to me is simply a way of holding the attention and interest of a certain group of people who love what I do to get them pleased.”
He further noted that “I’m not just into skit making, I make what I will call short films. I love creativity and I cherish when people are happy and pleased with my works”. However, the multi-talent personality recently released a single titled ‘Down for you’, with plans for an upcoming Extended Play(EP), ‘Love me before they all do’. He revealed plans to collaborate with top artists in Nigeria to make the project a hit.
Speaking further on his musical journey, he said, “I’m multi-talented, I’ve been doing music since 2016. I found the talent of music in me when I was still a child after Sunday service at the church then I found myself at home creating gospel tunes and songs and that’s how it all started. Music means a lot to me, I can hardly survive without a headphone on my ear listening to music, it makes me feel better, it releases stress, takes away many thoughts of my mind because it’s either I’m enjoying the sound or trying to get every meaning out of a song. On my end doing music, I see it as a way of expressing myself and making people happy.”
The indie artist whose genre of music is Afro-fusion, Pop, R&B and lifestyle music says his greatest influence in the entertainment industry are Tyga and Dan Bilzerian. Sharing his plans, he said “My major aim is working towards being a significant public figure who portrays an influential and lavish lifestyle, Though I don’t plan to take the music thing too seriously, I do want to be significant in the music industry. I want to also go far in my acting career”, he said.
