It is doubtful if the Presiding Pastor of Zionwealth of Life Assembly, Apostle Chris Omatsola, could have imagined the backlash of criticisms and vitriols that would greet his leaked alleged sex tape with his former lover, Tamaratokoni Okpe.
Since the video went viral on the internet, the Edo Stats-born “Man of God” has been traumatised. Omatsola allegedly stopped appearing in the public, following wide condemnation, especially in the media.
A source revealed that Omatsola has relocated his church from Lekki, Lagos, to an unknown place, following the ugly incident.
It was gathered that the two estranged lovers dated for about seven months in 2018, during which they had sexual intercourse, which was filmed, when the fire of love beclouded their sense of reasoning.
However, shortly after things fell apart between them, the lurid video emerged on the Internet.
Okpe, in her account of the incident, said the pastor had threatened to leak the video after she quit the relationship.
While Okpe, who hails from Delta State, accused Omatsola of releasing the video to force her into marriage with him, the Pastor claimed that the video was leaked to blackmail him.
Since the incident, there have been accusations and counter-accusations.
The lady revealed that she met Apostle Omatsola in Lekki, Lagos, and they started dating in February 2018. It quickly escalated to a sexual relationship and when they had sex the first time, he told her they should make it right by getting married.
They continued their romantic affair and one of the things they did together was recording videos and taking pictures of their intimacy. She further alleged that everything was rosy until he became violent and constantly beat her up.
She said he usually came begging after each episode and she forgave him.
However, she couldn’t endure it any more by July, as he had become indifferent about the relationship while his temperament and constant assault also discouraged her.
