Ordinarily, a heavy downpour would have kept the residents of Enugu indoors, but that was not the case when premium vodka brand Smirnoff X1 Tour train arrived the Coal City recently.

An unexpected large crowd turned up at Enugu City Mall for a night of music and self-expression. Their defiance was greatly rewarded by the headline act of the event DJ Spinall, who kept the dancefloor spinning with hit after hit.

DMW hitmaker, Mayorkun took the crowd to a different level with his performance of ‘Bobo’, ‘Che Che’ and ‘Mama’. Peruzzi, the final act of the night, shut down the show with ‘Amaka’, a smash-hit he was featured on by 2Baba.

Smirnoff mixologists were also on ground to spice things up. They kept the drinks flowing with cocktails made with the delicious taste of X1 Intense Chocolate.

The Enugu edition is the first leg of the tour which is now in its second year. The first edition kicked off in October last year and came to an exciting end in May. Cities such as Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Benin, and Owerri witnessed unforgettable music performances from artistes like Kiss Daniel, Illbliss, Mayorkun, M.I, Harrysong, among others.
According to the Marketing and Innovations Director – Guinness Nigeria Plc, Adenike Adebola, “the tour is a testament of the brand’s dedication to bring the best party to town.

“Beyond the musical experience, it’s also about discovering the different realities in these cities. How they like to party, the different energy that bring to parties as well as the unique creative things about the cities.” The tour continues to other cities in subsequent weeks.
