The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibajo will on September 27, 2018 deliver the 80th anniversary lecture of Ikoyi Club as part of the activities lined up to celebrate the event.
The 80th anniversary, which will be celebrated in grand style as Nigeria’s foremost and prestigious family club, kicked off with the unveiling of the anniversary logo on August 24.
The Chairman of the Anniversary committee, Dr. Adekunle Wright said in a statement yesterday that several programmes have been outlined to mark the landmark event.
According to the statement, sectional games competitions for members and staff holds from Sept 17 to 23, while business to business exhibitions commences on Sept 24.
Also elders evening holds on September 26, the statement said.
The club is embarking on a nine- kilometre charity walk on September 22 to create awareness for its social responsibility initiative as part of the anniversary.
A major highlight of the anniversary is the anniversary lecture to be delivered by the Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on September 27.The climax of the 80th anniversary is the anniversary dance and award night which holds on Saturday September 29, 2018.
