Eid-el-Fitir -Bauchi Police Deploys 2,992 Officers

In view of the upcoming Eid-El Fitir celebrations slated for June 15 and 16, 2018, the Bauchi State Police Command has deployed a total of 2,992 officers and men to ensure hitch free Sallah celebrations in the state.

According to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kamal Abubakar Datti, and made available to newsmen in bauchi, the officers and men of the Force comprising of conventional police, Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist Unit, Explosive Ordinance Disposal personnel, intelligence personnel, medical personnel and other operatives of the Command would be on stand-by.

“To this effect, the Command has designed an Operation Order for effective deployment of officers and men as well as all necessary logistics to all praying grounds and venues of events in the state”

“The Command is fully prepared to deal with hoodlums, political thugs and other disgruntled elements that may cause panic among the public during the period and will collaborate with sister security agencies and all stakeholders to ensure peaceful and hitch free celebrations”

“The Commissioner of police has also directed all DPOs, HODs and Sectional Heads to personally supervise the deployment of their men and patrol their areas of responsibilities throughout the period and beyond”

“The Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Lemu, wishes to extend his warm greetings to all Muslim faithful and other citizens in the state as they celebrate EID-EL FITIR and enjoins them to cooperate with police and other security agencies in their efforts towards ensuring peaceful celebrations and equally report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police Station.
