As a way of expressing its passion for children,Â Dufil Prima FoodsÂ Plc, makers of Indomie Noodles,Â Â under the auspices of its Children Fan Club has hosted youngsters across the country in an elaborate party, making this yearâ€™s Childrenâ€™s DayÂ a memorable one for them.
Like Oliver Twist,Â children in an exciting spirit, asked for more of such initiatives from the children-friendly brand.
This yearâ€™s occasion which had in attendance over 100,000Â pupils from acrossÂ various schools in the countryÂ was graced by the First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode.
The children had a swell time involving themselves in various brain-developing andÂ merry-makingÂ activities such asÂ quiz and dance competitions, including bumper car, carousel, the rockets, the piratesâ€™ ship, the spinner, the tea cup, disco ride, the air bicycle, cartoon shows, cultural performances and face-painting.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Ambode praised theÂ corporate commitment of the company over itsÂ Â child-friendly disposition while she enjoined the children to be good citizens of the nation.
â€œYou must always obey your parents and teachers, respect your elders, be humble and read your books. If you can do this, you will inevitably become good leaders someday,â€ she said.
Also speaking, Chief Operating Officer of Dufil,Â Mr. Girish Sharma, who described the First Lady as mother of all, thanked her for making out time to be present at the event to felicitate with the kids and instil morals in them.
â€œWe place utmost value on children as many of our brands are synonymous with kids. We believe that one of the best responsibilities we can undertake is to celebrate this great day with the Nigerian kids. Without the kids, we canâ€™t exist.â€
Group Public Relations and Event Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, stated that the Indomie Childrenâ€™s Day celebrations was an annual activity that the company had consistently marked for a decadeÂ and the reason is not far-fetched, as it has remained a passion of the company to show appreciation and love to the children, who happen to be the brandâ€™s core loyalists.
He explained that the essence of the party is to ensure as many children as possible get to have a memorable Children Dayâ€™s celebration.
