When Online Ministry Lifted Special Kids in Lagos

For the special kids at the Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care Home, Yaba, Lagos, this year’s Easter celebration was memorable. These children and men and women of strength who were looking after them, had looked forward to witness series of activities as the celebration unfolded. But beyond their preparation, a United State of America-based online preacher, Evangelist Princess Belemzy of Princess Belemzy Ministry, an online Christian assembly, breezed in as promised with her team and pitched her tent with the kids while the celebration lasted.

The Pastor thus used the occasion to send a powerful message to Nigerians who are living in affluence to ponder a little and think of the underprivileged. This was demonstrated by the way Belemzy and her team used words of God and songs of praise to celebrate with the children. At this point, the entire hall became electrified as members of the team hugged and mixed freely with the kids. The occasion was remarkable because not very often do less-

privileged children have smiles on their faces. Usually, the days roll by with little or nothing to cheer about. And for many of them, there is no difference between special occasions like festive periods and an ordinary day. It is usually all gloom and dry. Based in Houston, Texas, United States, Belemzy who was in Nigeria for a church programme during Easter, did not let the opportunity pass by without touching lives, when she led some of her members to the orphanage for a special time out with the special kids.
