Three Girls Die of Suffocation in Kano, One Survives

Kano State Police Command on Saturday confirmed the death of three girls in an unserviceable vehicle in a densely-populated non-indigenes area of Sabon Gari in Kano city.

Police Spokesman in Kano, DSP Magaji Musa Majia told reporters on Saturday that “On Friday at about 3pm, four girls were playing inside the unserviceable vehicle parked for over one year and locked themselves in. The victims suffocated inside the car, three died and one of them survived”.

According to him, “the girls who were between the ages of two and a half, and four years, were inside the vehicle which was parked for over one year at Warri by Igbo road when the incident happened.”

He said the survived victim was currently receiving treatment at the hospital. The Police spokesman stated that the matter was reported to Police and investigation had commenced.
