Celebrity fashion designer and Chief Executive Officer, Yomi Casual, Olorunyomi Omoniyi Makun, has added a new collection to the conventional traditional attires signature that he has always been known for. He recently unleashed his latest design into the fashion market with the unveiling of a new collection called, ‘Renascence’. This, Makun said, is a rebirth of his designs but in a more casual form.

“The ‘Renascence’ Collection is different because these ones are more like street wears and I try to add a bit of class on it. It is far different from our norms, because at Yomi Causal, we are known for causal wears but this time around I am making things that even youths on the street can wear them. Before now we had more like traditional wears and I was paying more attention to the very matured audience and not to the young people, thinking that was where the money was but right now I think it was good I cut across,” he said while interacting with journalists on his latest design at his Lekki office last week, The Fashion Design and Clothing Technology graduate from Auchi Polytechnic, who said his label specialises in African design, especially cut-to-fit African design, added, “Our designs are intricately textured and designed to stand our clients out in style.”Renaissance collection’s unconventional designs are inspired primarily by impeccable art that blends well with nature, marking the rebirth of trend to the modern world.
