Partner Firms in Delivering Affordable Housing to Nigerians, Experts Advise FG

In the face of a housing deficit in the country, experts have advised the federal government to look inward and partner private initiatives to be able to deliver timely, quality and affordable housing To Nigerians.

The firms, Duchaza International and RevolutionPlus Properties Limited, gave the advice as they come together to launch a promotional sales of landed properties with the aim of supporting government policy on affordable housing.

According to the firms, recent estimates showed that Nigeria needs 17 million plots of land to meet her 17 million housing shortfall, hence, the need to come up with the cheap housing initiative to cater for all economic classes especially the low income earners.

Managing Director, Duchaza Real Estate Ltd, Mrs Joy Nwosu, explained further that the promo which covers property within different estate around Lekki, Ibeju Lekki and the Eko Atlantic Free Trade Zone and environs will be delivered to investors at a highly subsidised rate.

She said that the entire process have been made flexible for buyers who are at liberty to choose any preferred mode of payment according to their cash flow.

Highlighting other benefits of the property, Nwosu said that the proximity of the estates to Eko Atlantic Free Trade Zone and Dangote Refinery offered an edge for investors as they will continue to appreciate with attendant benefits to prospective investors.

According to her, “All the properties are documented officially including certificate of occupancy (C of O), excision, registered survey and deed of assignment.”

Nwosu noted that the promo exercise was part of the company’s modest contribution to the growth of the economy by making the properties available to Nigerians at a highly subsidised, affordable and investor-friendly cost with convenient payment plan.
