The eighth edition of St. Martins Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, will take place on Wednesday February 15 at the Yaba College of Technology.
The pupils, who have been involved to several practice sessions since their resumption for the second term, are expected to be at their best when the chips are down.
According to the Games Master of the school, Daniel Evaron, the pupils have been well trained and, therefore, charged parents and guardians to turn out in large numbers to cheer their children and wards.
To add spice to the event, eight schools have been invited for the invitation relay event and these include; Rabol Private School, St. Catherine Model School, Mount Carmel Catholic Nursery/Primary School, Handmaid Nursery/Primary School, among others. For the first time in the school’s inter house sports, pupils from the kindergarten class would be participating in some of the events.
Evaron said arrangements have been put in place for a Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, to convey the pupils from the school to the venue of the competition and back to the school.
Meanwhile, security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that the pupils are well protected.
