GETCentre (Grand Express Tours Centre Limited), with high standard in the travel industry in Nigeria,was named as one of the ‘Top 100 Travel Companies in West Africa’ at the prestigious Africa Travel Awards Dinner at 2016 Akwaaba African Travel Market held recently in Lagos.
The Ikeja, Lagos-based firm was presented with the award alongside top hotels and airlines in the region at the dinner attended by the leading lights in Africa Travel and Tourism sector.
A pan African committee of travel professionals from different countries in Africa had drew up a shortlist of nominees to be voted for by the public.
The award was received by the Managing Director/CEO, GETCentre, Mrs. Bolaji Mustapha who pointed out that “customer service” made them to stand out. She noted that they are committed to creating maximum value for the customer.
“I feel very delighted that GETCentre is one of the best in Africa. I appreciate the travel industry, you know tourism is life. The recognition is important to us as the agency is focusing on the tourism aspects.
“We sell flights and of course make provision of travel services to individuals and corporate clients. We give benefits of family travel and advice on how to save them money and time. That’s why we have been recognized with this award, and we wish to do more,” she said.
Mustapha also stressed that “Our main service is tagged ‘The Complete Tour Package’, significantly we have been involved in the business of providing flight booking, hotel reservation, airport transfer, visa application and tour arrangements. We give value for money to our customers. We have passion for what we do, which gives room for infinite possibilities for our client’s success and satisfaction”
She also made it known that GETCentre is a one-stop travel point where you get your ticket and travel services in-house, and it’s from “top to finish.”
She explained further: “We sell family packages, children packages because children want to go on holiday. People are travelling for holiday; people are travelling with their family. We help them get visa and accommodation, because they do not want to stay with friends and relatives anymore. They need to get hotel accommodation, they need to get apartments. They cannot stay all day in a hotel, they need to go out. So we advise them on what to do. This Yuletide, people are travelling, but they are not going too far away from home. As I speak to you now Akodo resort in Lagos is full adding that: “We try to advise, you know the agent is a custodian of knowledge in this regard. A customer only needs to send an e-mail tour company and he will get the reservation on his Internet in front of his desk.”
