El-Rufai Urges Support for Families of Soldiers Killed in the Fight Against Insurgents

Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has appealed to Nigerians to support the families of military personnel who lost their lives in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents.

He made the appeal on Thursday when he paid a condolence visit to the widow of the late Lt.Col. Muhammad Abu Ali in their Kaduna family home.

Late Ali was one of the officers recently killed by the Boko Haram insurgents in an ambush in Mallam Fatori area of Borno state.

The governor who was received by a member of the family, Alhaji Mohammadu Haruna, stressed the need to inspire and show compassion to the families of those who sacrifice their lives for the nation.

El-Rufai who was emotional on sighting the widow and the three little children of the deceased officer, urged Nigerians to pray and support families of all military personnel and other security operatives who lost their lives in the course of defending the sovereignty of the country.
