NIPR Pledges Stronger Partnership with New NUJ Leadership in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has pledged to strengthen its longstanding partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council towards promoting professionalism and excellence in media practice.

The NIPR Chairman, Muhammad Rabi’u Wada, made the commitment yesterday when he led officials of the Institute on a congratulatory visit to the newly elected Executives of the Council following the successful conduct of the council’s election.

Muhammad Rabi’u Wada commended the immediate past NUJ Chairman, Comrade Umar Sa’idu for his efforts towards facilitating the ongoing remodeling of the NUJ Press Centre, describing the project as a significant development that would provide a more conducive working environment for journalists and other media professionals.

Responding, the newly elected NUJ Chairman, Comrade Isah Garba Gadau, appreciated the NIPR delegation for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the cordial and longstanding relationship between the two professional bodies.

Comrade Isah Garba Gadau assured the delegation that his administration would operate an inclusive leadership that would carry all chapels along and promote unity and professionalism within the Council.

He also assured the NIPR that the facilities of the NUJ would remain available for relevant professional activities, stressing the importance of continued collaboration between the two organisations.

The NUJ Chairman called for sustained support and cooperation from the NIPR and other relevant stakeholders, noting that such partnerships would enable the new administration to consolidate on the achievements recorded by previous leaderships and further advance the interests and welfare of journalists in Bauchi State.
