Blockfest Africa 2026: Lagos to Host Major Web3 Convergence Again in October

Lagos, Nigeria – Nigeria is set to welcome participants from across Africa and beyond as Blockfest Africa returns to Lagos for its second event.

More than 12,000 people from over 50 countries participated in the inaugural event held in Lagos in 2025, setting the stage for the return of the Biggest African Web3 gathering this year.

The second event is scheduled for October 22 and 23, 2026, at the National Art Theatre, Lagos,
as the organisers prepare to build on the momentum generated by last year’s event. “Participants at this year’s event will have access to workshops, networking opportunities, founder and investor engagements, career opportunities, ecosystem discussions and an exhibition space,” the organisers said.

The programme will run across six tracks: Talent & Career Launchpad, Investment & Funding, Technical Infrastructure, AI & Blockchain, Government & Policy, and Creative Economy.

The 2026 event will be held under the theme, “New Trade Routes: Bringing Africa Onchain,” with discussions expected to examine developments across blockchain and other emerging
technologies and their growing applications across different sectors.

The event will also mark a move from the Landmark Centre, where the inaugural edition was held on October 11, 2025, to the National Art Theatre. The new venue is expected to provide
