Breaking: ICPC Submits Interim Report to Tinubu, Says Controversial is Agency Fake

.Says Adeyemi’s appointment letter was forged

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has declared the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) promoted by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi as fake.
The Commission’s Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday after submitting the interim report on the investigation into the operation of the controversial agency to President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
The President had mandated the ICPC on July 7, 2026 to investigate the self acclaimed PFIPC’s Director-General who alleged that he bribed the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila with N400 million to get appointed and was given 30 days to submit the report which he did on Thursday.
Aliyu told reporters the agency found out that the FPIPC was fake while the purported appointment letter paraded by Adeyemi, as the Director-General, was forged and never emanated from the Presidency.
He equally disclosed that Adeyemi, currently in detention, also created two other fictitious agencies aside PFIPC which is currently under investigation.
Speaking on the ICPC ‘s findings, Aliyu said: “we have discovered and it has been established that Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew was never appointed by the federal government or any authority of government. Then the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, which sometimes they call it Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council was never established by any law or executive order or other instrument of government, and the appointment letter presented by Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew was completely forged alongside similar documents used to perpetuate the illegal activities of the fake agency.”
