EIV Reinvests in EHA Clinics to Strengthen Maternal Care and Expand Healthcare Access in Nigeria
Folalumi Alaran in Abuja
EHA Impact Ventures (EIV), a non-profit impact investing firm backing women-led businesses in health, nutrition, and livelihoods across Africa, has announced a $1.25 million reinvestment in EHA Clinics, a leading network of primary healthcare facilities in Nigeria.
The announcement was made at the Insights Learning Forum 2026, where Ramatu Abdullah, Senior Coordinator, Executive Programme Support at EHA Impact Ventures, and Dr. Ifunanya Ilodibe, CEO of EHA Clinics, jointly presented the impact of their partnership to a global audience of health leaders, investors, social entrepreneurs, and development partners.
The additional capital will support job creation, expand access to healthcare services in underserved areas, and strengthen antenatal care for women who face barriers to consistent prenatal support.
This marks EIV’s third investment in EHA Clinics, reaffirming the firm’s confidence in the Clinic’s mission, leadership, and ability to deliver quality, affordable healthcare to underserved communities. Previous investments from EIV helped EHA Clinics expand into three additional locations across Nigeria and extend community outreach programmes that now serve more than 20,000 additional people each year. These investments have also strengthened EHA Clinics’ capacity to deliver integrated, quality healthcare closer to the communities that need it most.
“Our decision to reinvest in EHA Clinics reflects our commitment to businesses that demonstrate both operational resilience and measurable social impact, ” said Evelyn Castle, CEO of EHA Impact Ventures. “We believe that transformative healthcare solutions require long-term support, which is why we are committed to backing organisations that are expanding access to quality care while building sustainable healthcare systems.”
The reinvestment reflects EIV’s broader mission of backing women-led and gender-smart businesses that improve health, nutrition, and livelihoods across Africa. Through its evergreen investment approach, EIV provides patient capital that enables high-impact businesses to grow sustainably and deepen their impact over time.
“This investment comes at an important stage of our growth journey,” said Dr. Ifunanya Ilodibe, CEO of EHA Clinics. “It will enable us to expand access to quality healthcare, strengthen maternal and antenatal services, and continue reaching communities that have historically faced barriers to care. We are grateful for EIV’s continued confidence in our vision and our ability to deliver meaningful health outcomes.”
This reinvestment is more than a funding milestone, it is proof that sustained partnership between investor and operator builds stronger, more resilient healthcare systems. As EHA Clinics extends its reach into new communities, EIV remains committed to supporting its goal of delivering accessible, quality primary healthcare in Nigeria.
