Stretford Hill Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s institutional framework, saying sustainable infrastructure development depends as much on strong legal and regulatory systems as it does on engineering expertise.

The construction and infrastructure company made the assertion during the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch Law Week 2026, where it participated as a Bronze Sponsor.

The event, themed “Lawyering in the Digital Age: Navigating Technology, Justice & Innovation,” brought together legal practitioners, policymakers, regulators, business leaders and technology experts to discuss the impact of digital transformation on legal practice, governance and the economy.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Stretford Hill Limited, Engr. Lakunle Runsewe, said investor confidence and long-term infrastructure development require an environment where contracts are respected and institutions guarantee stability.

“At Stretford Hill, we believe infrastructure is more than the physical assets we build. Sustainable development depends on an environment where businesses can invest with confidence, contracts are respected and institutions provide the stability required for long-term growth,” he said.

Runsewe noted that collaboration among engineers, legal practitioners, policymakers and business leaders has become increasingly important as technology reshapes industries.

According to him, resilient infrastructure can only be achieved through transparent governance, accountability and innovation, adding that the company was proud to support a platform advancing conversations around the future of law and development in Nigeria.

During the week-long conference, Stretford Hill showcased its capabilities in building construction, civil engineering, project management and infrastructure delivery while engaging stakeholders on the role of infrastructure in driving economic growth.

The company said its approach is reflected in projects such as the NRS Headquarters, where regulatory compliance, stakeholder collaboration and quality project delivery remain central to execution.

Stretford Hill added that achieving Nigeria’s infrastructure ambitions would require stronger partnerships among government, industry and professional institutions to create an enabling environment for responsible investment and sustainable development.
