The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has presented an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Fly-Pyatic, the aviation flagship of Pyatic Group to manage other operators’ fleets.
With the certificate, Fly-Pyatic is now legally empowered to conduct commercial air transport operations, including executive charter and non-scheduled flight services.

Founder/Group Chief Executive Officer Pyatic Group, HRH. Aliyu Yakubu in a statement issued Wednesday said the civil aviation sector is set to witness a major development with the Group’s evolution into an aviation-led enterprise focused on executive mobility, business productivity, and sustainable economic growth.
According to him, The partnerships entered into followed the recent presentation of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Fly-Pyatic, the aviation flagship of Pyatic Group by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), in Abuja.

Yakubu, a retired Captain said one of their strategic partners, PwC, played an influential role in supporting Pyatic Group’s transformational journey, providing valuable insights that helped shape a stronger, more aligned, and future-focused organization.

He noted: “With the presentation of the certificate, Fly-Pyatic is now legally empowered to conduct commercial air transport operations, including executive charter and non-scheduled flight services.

“The presentation of the certificate has confirmed that Fly-Pyatic has met all regulatory and stringent requirements covering safety, aircraft maintenance, personnel competence, operational procedures, emergency response systems, and organizational capability.

“Widely regarded as one of the most rigorous achievements in aviation, obtaining an AOC is often compared to securing a banking license. It signifies that an operator has successfully demonstrated the capacity to conduct safe, reliable, and sustainable commercial flight operations.”

Yakubu stressed that it was more than a certification, adding that it was a foundation for a bigger vision.
He said: “We are building an aviation-led enterprise where mobility enables business growth, connects opportunities, and creates lasting value.

“The milestone also highlights the enormous opportunities within Nigeria’s aviation sector.
“Despite being Africa’s largest economy and one of the continent’s most entrepreneurial nations, the industry continues to face infrastructure gaps, high operating costs, and financing challenges. Yet, these challenges present opportunities for innovative operators to rethink how aviation serves businesses and the wider economy.

“Fly-Pyatic believes the future lies in positioning aviation not merely as a luxury, but as a strategic tool for productivity and economic growth.”
On his part, Director-General of the NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo described the certification as a significant milestone, emphasizing that obtaining an AOC is only the beginning.

“What is important now is not just obtaining the AOC but maintaining it. Safety remains non-negotiable. We are committed to supporting operators while ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational discipline are maintained across the industry,” he said.

Speaking, Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Bola Adeeko said the company is deliberately building around the needs of modern executives and organizations.
He was of the opinion that the presentation of the AOC would shape Fly-Pyatic’s market positioning by reinforcing what it describes as a smarter executive mobility model that prioritizes time efficiency, flexibility, safety, and business outcomes.

Adeeko added: When people move faster, businesses grow faster. Today’s leaders are not simply looking for flights; they want reliability, flexibility, privacy, and the ability to maximize every hour. That is the value Fly-Pyatic is bringing to the market.
“Its services are designed for corporate executives managing multiple commitments across cities, entrepreneurs seeking secure and flexible travel options, organizations requiring executive and team movement, and government and diplomatic institutions where privacy and reliability are essential.

“For these customers, the real cost of travel is rarely the ticket. It’s meetings missed or opportunities lost as a result of productive hours lost to airport queues, cancelled flights, and travel uncertainties.
“At Pyatic, aviation is not simply about flying, and the air operator certificate for Fly-Pyatic is therefore more than a regulatory milestone. It’s a call to service to address these challenges through on-demand charter services, corporate mobility solutions, and flexible travel arrangements committed to redefining executive mobility, expanding access to opportunities, and helping businesses move with speed, confidence, and purpose.
“The goal is simple and clear: empowering economies and building sustainable partnerships, one journey at a time.”
