Harry Amadi to Empower 50 Youths with Digital Skills
Entrepreneur, real estate developer, and youth advocate Harry Excellent Amadi has announced plans to train 50 young people in photography, videography, and drone piloting as part of his ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development.
The initiative, which will be facilitated through the media arm of the Hamrex Group, is designed to equip participants with practical, income-generating skills that can help them build sustainable careers in the rapidly expanding creative and digital economy.
According to Amadi, the programme was conceived out of a desire to see more young people acquire skills that provide financial independence and reduce reliance on increasingly scarce white-collar jobs.
“One of the greatest gifts you can give a young person is a skill that can pay their bills for life. The world is changing, and opportunities are increasingly going to those who possess practical and marketable skills. Our goal is to equip these youths with the knowledge and tools they need to earn a living, create value, and compete in today’s economy,” he said.
Beyond helping participants generate income, Amadi explained that the initiative is aimed at addressing unemployment, encouraging entrepreneurship, and preparing young people to take advantage of opportunities within the creative industry. He noted that photography, videography, and drone technology have become essential services across multiple sectors, including media, real estate, events, tourism, construction, marketing, and content creation.
As demand for these services continues to grow, skilled professionals in these fields are increasingly positioned to build profitable careers and successful businesses. To support this vision, the programme will provide participants with hands-on training, practical exposure, and mentorship from industry professionals.
Beneficiaries will learn modern photography techniques, professional video production, content creation, editing, and drone operations, giving them a solid foundation to pursue careers as freelancers, entrepreneurs, content creators, or media professionals.
Amadi further emphasized that the initiative forms part of a broader vision to empower young people with skills rather than merely offering temporary assistance.
“We do not just want to give people something for today; we want to give them something that can continue to create value for them tomorrow. When a young person acquires a skill, they gain confidence, independence, and the ability to create opportunities not only for themselves but also for others,” he stated.
Community leaders and stakeholders have praised the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that aligns with the growing need for practical education and vocational training among Nigerian youths. The announcement has already generated excitement among aspiring creatives and entrepreneurs, many of whom view the programme as an opportunity to gain access to highly sought-after skills with local and global relevance.
With the planned training of 50 youths, Harry Excellent Amadi continues to strengthen his reputation as a champion of youth development, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment, reinforcing his belief that the future of any society is determined by the opportunities it creates for its young people.
The programme is expected to commence in the coming months, with participants receiving intensive training designed to transform them from learners into skilled professionals capable of earning a living and making meaningful contributions to society.
