Nigeria’s biggest Gen Z movement, GiNN, has officially launched the campaign for its highly anticipated June 25th event themed: “The Naija Spirit”, with respected youth advocate and nation builder, Chief Idris Olorunnibe, unveiled as the official Campaign Starter and Program Starter for the movement.

The official campaign launch took place during a special courtesy visit led by the visionary Convenor of GiNN, Agomeze Saint Chukwuemeka, alongside members of the GiNN team, where Chief Idris Olorunnibe was also honored with the prestigious GiNN Youth Icon Award in recognition of his enormous contribution to the youth space in Nigeria, his continuous investment in young people, and his longstanding commitment to nation-building and youth empowerment.

The GiNN team described Chief Olorunnibe as one of the few leaders consistently admired by Nigerian youths for his dedication to mentorship, leadership development, innovation, and creating opportunities that continue to shape the future of young Nigerians.

Speaking during the visit, Agomeze Saint Chukwuemeka emphasized that the decision to make Chief Idris Olorunnibe the official Campaign Starter was intentional and symbolic, noting that GiNN believes in honoring individuals whose work and impact genuinely inspire the next generation.

According to him, the official launch of the campaign marks the beginning of a nationwide movement aimed at uniting, inspiring, and empowering young Nigerians under the spirit of patriotism, leadership, creativity, and active civic participation.

The 2026 GiNN edition, themed “The Naija Spirit,” is scheduled to hold on June 25th, 2026 at the UNILAG Indoor Sports Centre and is expected to attract over 10,000 youths physically and more than 1 million youths online, making it one of the biggest youth-focused gatherings in Nigeria.

Olorunnibe gave the GiNN team a warm reception and commended the vision behind the movement, encouraging Nigerian youths to become more intentional about their role in shaping the future of the country.

He further stressed the importance of active youth participation in the democratic process, urging young people to obtain their PVCs, participate in elections, and vote based on competence, leadership capacity, and proven track records rather than emotions.

With the official campaign now launched, GiNN is set to begin a nationwide engagement drive ahead of June 25th, positioning “The Naija Spirit” as more than just an event, but a movement dedicated to building a stronger and more youth-driven Nigeria.
