Tyler Vybe: Shaping the Next Wave of African Music

Tyler Vybe is an 18-year-old Afro-Pop and Afro-Soul artist leading the evolution of contemporary African new sound. Born in the United States, raised in Abuja, Nigeria, and currently a student in a University in Abuja, Tyler Vybe masterfully blends his Afrobeat styled music with global influences with deep African rhythms, delivering a soulful, melodic, and vibe-driven signature sound.

His musical journey began early, with his debut EP titled ’13’ released at just 13 years old in 2021. In 2022, he demonstrated his growing star power by selling out his first concert, performing for over 300 enthusiastic fans. The following year, 2023, saw the release of his sophomore 6-track EP, Homework, accompanied by six official music videos that highlighted significant growth in his songwriting, vocal range, and emotional depth.

In 2025, Tyler dropped his third EP, Violets & Vybes, produced by amazing talents – Kayclef and Sound Surgeon. The project has amassed over 6 million streams on Boomplay alone, with standout tracks including “Bad Boy,” “Perfect,” “Let You Go,” and “Kachifo” continuing to build momentum.

Drawing inspiration from legends such as 2Face Idibia, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, Tyler has steadily risen in the scene. His hit single “Simple” charted in Nigeria’s Spotify Top 100, while fan favorites like “Let You Go,” “Perfect,” and “Kachifo” keep gaining traction across platforms.

Signed to Hashtag Entertainment, Tyler recently released the danceable Afro-Pop single “Change Am” featuring Terry Apala, now available on YouTube and all major digital streaming platforms.

Tyler Vybe plans to drop new music weekly for the next six months—a total of 24 fresh tracks. His forthcoming EP, Big Vybe, features top-tier production from Blaq Jerzee, Ralphonthebeat, Lila, Grandmaster, and Ken Isaborson Jnr.
