A group of Nigerian adventure motorcyclists has successfully completed a one-week cross-border motorcycle expedition across five West African countries, riding through Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire. The journey began in Lagos, Nigeria, with the National Stadium Gate serving as the official muster point.
The riding team consisted of Abimight, Ejanla, Tobi, Myca, Obiwon, and Charles, popularly known as 7figureboss. From Lagos, the team rode into Benin Republic, where they visited the iconic Amazon Statue before continuing their journey westward.
The riders spent one night in Togo before proceeding into Ghana. While in Ghana, the team visited Cape Coast and toured the historic Cape Coast Castle. They also experienced local culture by sampling traditional Ghanaian foods, including Banku and Nkosua ne Meko.
From Cape Coast, the expedition continued into Côte d’Ivoire, with the riders arriving in Abidjan. The team expressed admiration for the city’s modern infrastructure, level of development, and overall organization. They also highlighted the hospitality of the Ivorian people, noting that residents were welcoming and helpful despite language barriers.
The riders spent three nights and two days in Côte d’Ivoire before returning to Ghana, where they spent an additional night in Cape Coast and later one night in Accra. The expedition concluded with a successful return ride to Nigeria.
According to the team, all border crossings during the journey were smooth and easy to navigate. Despite minor challenges associated with long-distance riding, the expedition was described as a rewarding experience that included cultural exchange, historical exploration, new friendships, and exposure to diverse cuisines and languages.
The riders described the expedition as a major success and revealed plans for a future long-distance motorcycle journey, with Morocco identified as their next destination.
