Bridge Seed Global Launches Equity-Free Impact Accelerator to Empower Young African Founders
Bridge Seed Global (BSG) has officially announced the launch of its Impact Fund–Driven Accelerator Program , a three-month initiative designed to empower young African startup founders aged 18 to 35 with the funding, training, mentorship, and global access required to build sustainable, high-impact businesses across the continent.
The accelerator program is purpose-built to address one of Africa’s most pressing challenges: youth unemployment and limited access to early-stage capital . Through a structured, hands-on curriculum, Bridge Seed Global provides founders with the tools and resources needed to scale commercially viable businesses that contribute meaningfully to economic growth and sustainable development in Africa.
Each startup accepted into the program receives equity-free funding of £5,000, with no ownership stake required. In addition to capital, participants gain access to intensive business training, experienced mentors, investor networks, and strategic partnerships designed to accelerate growth and long-term sustainability.
“Africa’s young founders are rich in ideas and resilience, but poor access to capital, mentorship, and global networks continues to hold them back,” said Leandra Mika , Founder of Bridge Seed Global. “This accelerator is designed to bridge that gap — not by taking equity, but by investing in people, potential, and purpose.”
Founded by Leandra Mika, one of Africa’s leading female investors based in the United Kingdom, alongside Managing Partner Ola Josh , Bridge Seed Global is positioning itself as a catalyst for inclusive entrepreneurship across African markets. The organisation focuses on early-stage startups building solutions in key sectors including technology, agriculture, healthcare, renewable energy, education, and the creative industries.
Throughout the six-month accelerator journey, founders receive structured training in business model validation, product development, market entry, financial literacy, leadership, and investment readiness. Startups also benefit from curated introductions to angel investors, venture capital partners, and corporate stakeholders within Bridge Seed Global’s global network.
At the end of the program, startups participate in a Graduation Demo Day, where founders pitch their ventures to a curated audience of angel investors and venture capital firms, offering them the opportunity to raise their first institutional or angel funding round.
Bridge Seed Global’s accelerator emphasises accessibility, inclusion, and long-term impact , ensuring that promising founders — including those from underserved and marginalised communities — have a clear pathway from idea to scale.
Admission into the accelerator is highly competitive , reflecting the quality and ambition of applicants, yet all eligible founders with scalable ideas are encouraged to apply.
