Abig Nwankwo Foundation Brings Christmas Cheer to Indigent Residents in Okija

In the true spirit of Christmas, the Abig Nwankwo Foundation on Tuesday, December 24, 2025, staged a grand humanitarian outreach for widows, widowers, and indigent residents of Okija community in Anambra state.

The well-attended event witnessed the distribution of essential relief items including bags of rice, cartons of noodles, fresh tomatoes, gallons of groundnut oil, as well as cash support to beneficiaries, many of whom described the gesture as timely and life-changing amid prevailing economic challenges.

Speaking during the event, Ichie Abig Nwankwo (Owelle Okija) emphasized that Christmas remains a season of love, compassion, and responsibility to uplift the less privileged. He noted that the foundation remains committed to putting smiles on faces and restoring hope within communities, especially among the vulnerable.

Reacting to the kind gestures, Sir Uche Nnubia, President General of Umuohi community, expressed profound gratitude to Owelle Okija for his consistent philanthropic interventions. He described Ichie Abig Nwankwo as a worthy son of the soil whose generosity continues to positively impact lives, praying for God’s blessings and greater strength for him.

Also speaking after the outreach, Dr Frank Igbojindu (PhD), Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group and Founder of Akpoazaa Foundation, stated that his vision aligns strongly with the humanitarian ideals championed by Owelle Okija. He noted that since the inception of the Abig Nwankwo Foundation, he has closely followed its charity-driven activities, describing them as genuine, consistent, and impactful.

Beneficiaries at the event could not hide their joy, offering prayers and words of appreciation to the foundation and its leadership for remembering them during the festive season.
