The Labour Party (LP) has said it would contest all the elective positions in Ogun State in the 2027 general election.
National Vice Chairman, South West of the party, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, stated this while addressing party members and supporters at the swearing-in of new Ogun State Executive of the party.
The event, held at the main hall of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Iwe Iroyin, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, was attended by party representatives from the 18 local government areas of the state.
Arabambi said the LP would contest the governorship, three senatorial, nine House of Representatives elections in the state.
He said the party would support the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, for the presidential election.
Arabambi said the LP was set to win the governorship of Ogun State in 2027, slammed the incumbent administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun for non-satisfactory performance.
The LP National Vice Chairman said the governorship candidate of the party, would come from Ogun Central noting that Abiodun was not fair in the treatment of the senatorial district.
While criticising the proposed 2027 budget, Arabambi said financing half of the capital budget with loan, would only increase the debt burden of the state unnecessarily.
He, therefore, charged the new executive of the LP to remain steadfast and focused noting that winning governorship election in Ogin State is possible.
