Prof. Iwendi Appointed As Specially Invited Expert by Hunan Vocational College of Commerce, China

The Centre of Intelligence of Things (CIoTh) at the University of Greater Manchester has announced that Prof. Celestine Iwendi, esteemed academic, global AI researcher, and Head of CIoTh, has been formally appointed as a specially invited expert by the Hunan Vocational College of Commerce, China.
This international recognition highlights Professor Iwendi’s leadership and extensive contributions to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, IoT systems, and human centred emerging technologies.
The appointment further affirms his influence in shaping global research collaboration and educational innovation.
In this role, Professor Iwendi will work closely with the Hunan Vocational College of Commerce to support strategic initiatives including: enhancing international cooperation and academic partnerships, strengthening faculty development through expert training and capacity building.
Also in he is expected to advise on curriculum development and teaching resource enhancement, supporting the advancement of technical and vocational education standards, while providing insights on AI-driven innovation, digital skills, and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange.
“This collaboration will contribute to strengthening global academic connectivity between China, the United Kingdom, and other international partners committed to fostering innovation-driven educational ecosystems.
