Delta Commissioner Hails Emorock Construction for Quality, Timely Delivery on Key Road Projects
The Delta State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, has lauded Emorock Concept Ltd (subsidiary of Dewayle’s Group of Companies) for its delivery of high-quality rural road and bridge construction projects currently ongoing across Isoko and Ughelli areas of the state.
Aniagwu gave the commendation during an inspection tour of major rural infrastructure projects—the 4.8km Phase 2 of the Emevor–Ivrogbo–Orogun Road; the Emaka/Ogodogo/Ivu access road at Okpolo-Enhwe; and the Phase III of the Okpolo-Enhwe–Uwheru road and bridge—spanning Isoko North, Isoko South and Ughelli North Local Government Areas.
The commissioner said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s vision of connecting communities through durable infrastructure was becoming more evident in the expanding network of rural roads and bridges designed to boost productivity, ease movement and open up new economic opportunities.
Aniagwu, who earlier visited the 4.8km second phase of the Emevor–Ivrogbo–Orogun Road, recalled that the governor had inaugurated the first 4.04km phase ahead of his one-year anniversary, with a promise to commence the second phase immediately afterward.
“That promise has been fulfilled,” he stated. “The contractor has assured us that before the end of February next year, the second phase will be ready for commissioning.
“Their pace is impressive, binder courses are already being laid, major earthworks have been completed, and they have advanced significantly along critical segments.”
He expressed similar satisfaction at the pace of work on the 3.2km Emaka/Ogodogo/Ivu Access Road at Okpolo-Enhwe in Isoko South, which services several oil installations in the area.
Aniagwu noted that drainage works were nearly completed and earthworks progressing steadily.
