The ceremony attracted a diverse group of engineers, including all branch Chairmen in Lagos, and representatives from major companies such as Chevron, MTN, and Seplat, as well as local professionals eager to contribute to the future of engineering in the region.

The event featured a Technical Lecture titled “Domestic Gas Infrastructure Development in Nigeria: Opportunities and Challenges,” delivered by industry experts including Engr. Nathaniel Oyatogun, Managing Director and CEO of ASPEN Energy, and Nathan Unugbua, a seasoned gas development expert.

He noted that the decision to create this local chapter was driven by a high concentration of engineers residing and working in the Lekki Peninsula area. “This branch is critical not only for professional development but also for making a positive social impact in our community,” Adelokun explained.
