World Intellectual Property Organization, Ghana Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, AFREC Agency of African Union, Others Unite at MMC 7.0
The Mentor Matchup Challenge 7.0 (MMC 7.0) has convened an impressive coalition of strategic partners comprising government ministries, international development agencies, and Afro-Caribbean chambers of Commerce to support the 2025 edition of the event. This diverse ecosystem of partners is dedicated to driving the theme of the event: “Building Bridges For Equitable Trade”.
In a statement, it was noted that diplomatic Communities led by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will be delivering a masterclass on intellectual property during the event. Key Pan-African stakeholders including the African Energy Commission of the African Union, Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry FEWACCI, Common Business Women Africa (CBW-Africa) amongst others, strengthen MMC 7.0’s Pan-African reach.
It also noted that this reach is complemented by bilateral and international collaboration through the Ghana–Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (GHANJACC) and the Aspen Network of
Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) representing the interest of over 150 countries.
The statement further noted that national institutions, including Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), and the Nigeria Canada Alumni Association (NCAA), expand local engagement, while media partners The Cable and Condia ensure broad visibility across Nigeria and the wider region.
The statement added: “These strategic partnerships are key to advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agenda as well as equitable trade for Africans. By engaging policymakers, the private sector, chambers of commerce and diplomatic agencies, MMC 7.0 equips entrepreneurs to navigate cross-border trade, protect their intellectual property, and meet
global compliance standards with confidence. This multi-stakeholder collaboration ensures
comprehensive capacity building, spanning policy advocacy, market access, and practical
business solutions. MMC 7.0 is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, 2025, commencing at 8:00 AM daily at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
