Chief Emeka Mba to Deliver Convocation Address

The School of Communications and Media Studies (SCMS) of the Learn to Live Business School UK (LLBSUK) has preparations in top gear for the institution’s 2025 Graduation, Convocation and Awards Ceremony, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 29th November 2025 at the Symposium 1 Hall – Merit House, Aguiyi Ironsi way, Maitama, Abuja by 10:00 am
This year’s ceremony is anchored on the theme “Excellence in Communication: From Learning to Leadership,” reflecting the institution’s academic philosophy and its commitment to raising communication professionals equipped for the complexities of modern society. The theme also underscores the need for ethical leadership, strategic communication competence, and innovation within the global media and communication ecosystem.

The Convocation will feature a keynote address by Chief Emeka Mba, the Managing Director/CEO of Afia Media Group and former Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). Widely respected for his leadership in broadcast regulation, media innovation, and digital transformation in Nigeria, Chief Mba is expected to deliver an address that examines the future of communication in an era defined by technology shifts, competing narratives, and evolving audience behaviours. His participation reinforces the institution’s resolve to expose its scholars to the highest standards of professional insight and industry relevance.

During the event, scholars who have successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s Programmes in Strategic Communication and Media Management will formally receive their academic awards. While its highlight would be the presentation of honorary awards to outstanding personalities and organizations in special recognitions for their professional excellence, leadership, distinguishing conduct, and exemplary contributions to the media and communication landscape within Nigeria and internationally.
