Nollywood Travel Film Festival Names Smokey Shine Band as Official Band for its Berlin Event.

The Nollywood Travel Film Festival (NTFF) is kicking off in Berlin, Germany, with a vibrant new addition, the renowned Nigerian musical group, the Smokey Shine Band.

In a joint announcement with the Nigerian Embassy in Germany, the festival named the Smokey Shine Band, led by founder Agbajor Otimeyin, as its official musical band. This collaboration goes beyond just cinema; it’s a focused effort to bring the full spectrum of Nigerian creativity from film and fashion to music and live performance to a global audience. The goal is simple to deepen the cultural connection between Nigeria and Europe by showcasing diverse, exceptional talent.

Spotlight on Stars and Storytelling
The festival is a prime event for German and European viewers to experience the best and latest in Nigerian storytelling. Adding star power to the delegation are top Nollywood actors and producers, including Patience Ozokwo, Adedimeji Lateef, Ali Nuhu, Kayode Kasum, Buchi Franklin, and Maryam Booth. Their presence highlights the festival’s mission to celebrate Nigerian art on an international platform.

During a brief address, Agbajor Otimeyin of the Smokey Shine Band praised the festival’s organizer, Mr. Mykel Parish, for putting together such an excellent event to showcase Nigerian talent globally. He concluded by urging more support for Parish to continue his work in promoting Nigerian art globally.
