Project Asha, Kefiano Autos Strengthen Ties On Developmental Initiative

As Nigeria’s creative and philanthropic sectors continue to intersect, Project Asha, and Auto Kefiano Autos have announced a key step toward strengthening partnerships that promote youth empowerment, creativity, and social development

This was disclosed when officials of Project Asha visited the management of Kefas Foundation in Abuja recently.

The visit which formed part of Project Asha’s post-contest engagement activities following the Vweta Chadwick Poetry Prize 2025, brought together members of the Project Asha leadership team and the Second Runner-Up of the poetry prize, Miss Catherine ‘Danfus’ a 23-year-old poet from Jos, Plateau State.

The Project Asha delegation was led by Mr. Steve Robinson, Chairman of Project Asha; alongside Miss Amina Atairu, Director of Communications; and Miss Joan Ejanevi, Director of Operations (South). The team was warmly received by Chief Executive Officer of Kefiano Autos and Founder of the Kefas Foundation, Chief Kefas Ropshik.

During the visit, Miss Catherine shared her journey as a young poet and her mission to use poetry as a tool for advocacy and community transformation.

Speaking during the visit, Ropshik pledged his foundation’s support toward nurturing her dreams and empowering other young creatives within Plateau State.

According to him, “Your story is proof that art can heal, educate, and transform communities. Through the Kefas Foundation, we will continue to support young people like you who are using their gifts to create social impact.”

He highlighted some of the foundation’s achievements, noting that the Kefas Foundation has empowered over 2,000 widows through various economic support programs and currently provides housing and free education for hundreds of orphaned children in Jos.

Ropshik described Project Asha’s work as inspiring and essential, emphasizing that both “organizations share a common vision of uplifting women, youth, and vulnerable groups through creativity, education, and mental health advocacy.”

Commenting, Chairman of Project Asha, Mr. Steve Robinson said the courtesy visit was part of a broader strategy to build alliances with individuals and organizations that share similar values.

He described the engagement with Chief Kefas as “a partnership with purpose” that will create meaningful opportunities for collaboration in 2026 and beyond.

According to Robinson, “Our goal is to connect young creatives with leaders who believe in empowerment through action. What we’ve seen at Kefiano Autos and through the Kefas Foundation gives us confidence that together, we can do even more to support the next generation.

“Since its inception, Project Asha has championed several creative and humanitarian initiatives across Nigeria. Among its flagship programs is the Vweta Chadwick Poetry Prize, which celebrates emerging voices in poetry and uses art to promote social awareness.

“The organization has also launched mental health campaigns in schools and communities, conducted creative empowerment workshops, and supported female-led advocacy projects that encourage leadership and storytelling among women and girls.

“The visit is a renewed sense of commitment to shared values of compassion, innovation, and impact. At Project Asha we express our deep appreciation to Ropshik for his warm hospitality and his foundation’s continued dedication to humanitarian causes.”

Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations focusing on education, women’s empowerment, and creative development, particularly across Northern Nigeria.
