Ayodotun Akinfenwa Named Among WIMCA 2025 Top 50 most Influential Women in Marketing, Communications
Brand Marketing and Communications consultant, recipient of the 2024 IPBIM Innovation Award and author, Ayodotun Akinfenwa, has been recognised among the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications in Nigeria at the 2025 Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA), held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The prestigious event, organised by Awesome Communications, publishers of Brand Communicator magazine, celebrates female professionals whose work continues to redefine excellence in marketing, advertising, public relations and media. Each recipient was selected through a rigorous scoring process assessing portfolio performance, impact, peer recognition, brand reputation and measurable business outcomes. Only candidates who achieved above 70 percent across these criteria were named among the Top 50.
This year’s edition, themed “Bloom, Boom, Zoom: The Pursuit of Excellence,” spotlighted women driving transformation across industries. Honourees included Adedoyin Jaiyesinmi (Co Founder, The Comms Avenue), Maureen Ifada (Marketing Director, Friesland Campina WAMCO), Seyi Layade (Chief Operating Officer, Leo Burnnet) and Tolulope Olorundero (Managing Director, Mosron Communications) and others alongside Akinfenwa, each celebrated for innovation, impact and leadership in shaping Nigeria’s brand and communication landscape.
Akinfenwa, Chief Executive Officer of Lifestyle Hues Consulting, has established herself as one of Nigeria’s most respected voices in brand strategy, storytelling and creative leadership. She is the author of Fire Up Your Brand (2024), a practical guide that helps entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and creatives build purposeful and profitable brands.
Her signature framework, the BRAND CLARITY MATRIX (BCM™) Assessment Tool specifically designed to provide businesses with critical clarity and insights into the essential elements of effective branding has been instrumental in transforming the brand positioning of small, medium, and large businesses. This framework earned her the International Membership Innovation Award from the Institute of Productivity and Business Innovation Management (IPBIM)in 2024.
Through her consultancy, Akinfenwa has collaborated with major global creative technology brands including Adobe and Canva, leveraging those partnerships to champion digital creativity and empower the next generation of content creators and SME brands across Africa, with tools for branding and content design to accelerate business growth.
Her career spans more almost two decades of leading communications and brand development across corporate, nonprofit and creative sectors.
