“Over the past decade, DRASA has achieved remarkable milestones in strengthening Nigeria’s public health architecture. Its impact includes: 96,858 Health Champions trained and empowered to promote hygiene, sanitation, and disease detection in vulnerable communities.
“15,796 health workers equipped to deliver safe and quality healthcare; 28 public health policies developed or reviewed at national and subnational levels; 13 emergency response systems established at major points of entry; airports, seaports, and land borders; 6 cross-border health forums created between Nigerian officials and neighboring countries, and 31,845 units of PPE distributed to frontline health facilities,” the statement read.
Speaking on the milestone, Managing Director of DRASA Health Trust, Mrs. Niniola Williams, said the anniversary marks both reflection and renewal.
“This 10th anniversary is not just a celebration of our journey; it is a recommitment to the vision that inspired our founding: courage in the face of crisis, and the determination to prevent infection and protect health,” she said. “The next decade is about scaling our impact, leveraging innovation, and ensuring no community is left behind.”
