CEO of Dee Utensils, Lois Ihwo Bags Award of Excellence in Affordable Luxury Kitchen Solution in London

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dee Utensils, Lois Andrew Ihwo has been decorated with the honour of Excellence in Affordable Luxury Kitchen Solution at the Africa–UK Trade & Investment Conference & Awards 2025, held at the illustrious Royal National Hotel, London, alongside Africa’s finest business icons.

This is one of recent international recognitions she has bagged for her company’s commitment to excellence in the sale of luxury kitchenware market, and quality products which meet world class standard.

She is also the brain behind Dee Scent Global, a premium fragrance brand that beautifies homes, offices, and hotels.

The week-long event, organized by the Business Executive Group (TBE Group) in collaboration with the African Chamber of Trade and the International Business Council, brought together Africa’s and Britain’s most distinguished enterprises.

Lois Andrew Ihwo’s selection came through following rigorous nomination and assessment process, one that sets her Dee Utensils as one of Africa’s most impactful institutions, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

The recognition did not come as a surprise to many as the awardee has never hidden her interest in the art of cooking, from where she saw a need for high-quality kitchenware that would stand up to the rigours of everyday use.

In her remarks, she thanked organisers of the award for the recognition, stating that collaborations and platforms such as the Africa–UK Trade & Investment Conference have given her a leverage.

She however decried the challenge faced by women in business, including access to finance and others.

“Research and experience prove one thing: when women succeed, societies thrive. Women reinvest in families, education, healthcare, and community growth. Their impact is generational.

“That is why I emphasize: Inclusion is not charity, it is strategy. Empowering women in trade is not an act of kindness — it is an economic necessity.

“When we give women access to international markets, networks, and fair trade opportunities, economies grow, innovation accelerates, and sustainable impact is created”, she said.

With her own background in cooking, Ihwo has been able to bring a unique perspective to the design and manufacture of kitchenware.

She is also involved in every aspect of the business, from product design to marketing and customer service.

Dee Utensils has equally partnered with international companies producing kitchenware to get unique and luxurious designs for its customers across the world.

In July, Ihwo bagged 100 Most Notable Peace Icons at the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2025 which took place in Kigali, Rwanda.

This was in recognition of her craft and to advance nation-building and peaceful co-existence.

Not long ago, she made appearance on Arise 360 TV programme where she spoke on luxury, celebrity and lifestyle.

Her London recognition cements her company’s reputation as a leading brand in luxurious, yet affordable kitchen wares poised to compete with established international labels across the world.

Meanwhile, she has continued to receive congratulatory messages from her friends and associates following this international exploit.
