Hon. Kefiano Kefas Ropshik Consoles APC National Chairman Over Mother’s Passing
Hon. Kefiano Kefas Ropshik has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
During the visit, Hon. Ropshik expressed deep sympathy to Prof. Yilwatda and his family, describing the passing of Mama Lydia as a painful loss not only to the family but also to the wider community that benefited from her exemplary life of service, kindness, and faith. He noted that Mama Lydia lived a fulfilled life marked by humility, devotion, and compassion, leaving behind a legacy of values that will continue to inspire generations.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I commiserate with you, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and the entire Yilwatda family over the passing of your dear mother. Mama Lydia lived a life of grace and virtue, raising a family that continues to serve humanity and our nation. Her memory will remain a blessing, and her example, a guiding light for all,” Hon. Ropshik said.
Also present during the condolence visit was Senator Atai Aidoko, a two-time Senator of the Federal Republic, two-time member of the House of Representatives, and one of the founding members of the All Progressives Congress. Senator Aidoko joined other sympathizers in consoling the APC National Chairman, offering prayers for strength, and commending the values Mama Lydia instilled in her children.
The presence of both Hon. Ropshik and Senator Aidoko underscored the spirit of solidarity, friendship, and mutual respect that binds leaders together in moments of shared grief, as they came to honor the memory of the late matriarch and stand with the Yilwatda family in their time of sorrow.
In his response, Prof. Yilwatda expressed heartfelt appreciation for the visit and the words of comfort offered, noting that such gestures of support remain a source of strength to his family at this difficult time.
