In a bid to empower women entrepreneurs and small business owners, the ELOY Awards Foundation recently launched the ELOY Business Shower in Abuja recently.
The event, which marked the beginning of a four-state tour, brought together industry experts, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs to share insights, inspire growth, and foster meaningful connections.

The Abuja event was a resounding success, with attendees praising the informative content, engaging speakers, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Entrepreneurial training was provided by industry experts, including Madame Merola, a Personal Branding Specialist and Transformation Coach, who trained on Building a Successful Brand.
Dr. Sarah Amana, a Personal Finance Expert and Transformational Leader, trained on Financial Literacy. Dr. May Ikeora-Amamgbo, a Social Impact Activist and Founder of L’Avyanna Skin, trained on Traditional and Digital Marketing for Business Growth. Dr. Tewa Onasanya, Founder of the ELOY Awards Foundation, Exquisite Magazine, and Certified Mindset Stylist, trained on the Mindset for Success and Building the Right Structure for Your Business.

A special address was given by Ms. Chalya Shagaya, the Senior Special Assistant to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Entrepreneurial Development in Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy. The event also featured gift exchanges between participants and networking opportunities, providing a valuable platform for attendees to learn, grow, and thrive.

Atsumbe Esther, a lawyer and IP consultant, attended the event and shared her experience. “I learnt to intentionally curate my perception and not take others’ perception too seriously,” she said. “I also enjoyed the financial literacy class and even left with a lovely pair of earrings from one of the jewellery vendors during the gift exchange.”

Bunmi, C.O.O and Founder of Arry Interiors, described the experience as “mind-blowing.” She highlighted key lessons, including believing in herself and her capabilities, opening a trust fund for herself and her children, and applying the 50/30/20 savings rule. “I loved Madam Merola’s session about knowing your value and confidently charging your worth,” she said. “The intentionality behind the gifts and packages was also appreciated, noting that ‘you don’t see that in every business meeting.'”

The ELOY Business Shower is designed to equip women small business owners with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to succeed in today’s competitive business landscape. Through expert advice, practical tips, and inspiring stories, attendees gained valuable insights into navigating challenges and seizing opportunities.

The ELOY Awards Foundation is now preparing to take the ELOY Business Shower on the road to Ogun (July 10th), Akwa Ibom (July 17th), and Lagos (July 19th) states. This state tour aims to reach even more women entrepreneurs and small business owners, providing them with the tools, information on and access to affordable finance (provided by the Bank of Industry and Stanbic IBTC), visibility, mentoring, and support they need to thrive.
