UNBOUND 2025: UpYouWomen 3.0 Ushers in a New Era of Courage, Clarity, Connection for African Women

In the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos, a bold movement is returning to reawaken, reconnect, and revolutionize the lives of African women.

The UpYouWomen Conference 3.0, themed “UNBOUND: Rising Beyond Limits,” is set to take place over two powerful days, Friday, August 29th and Saturday, August 30th, 2025 — at the prestigious Victoria Hall, EbonyLife Place.

According to the Convener, UpYouWomen Conference, Mrs. Ezinne Kufre-Ekanem What began as a one-day experience designed to help women reclaim their voice, share authentic stories, and forge meaningful connections has now evolved into a two-day immersive gathering.

“The UpYouWomen Conference has become a defining force in women’s empowerment across Nigeria and the diaspora.

With past themes like “Building Bridges From Within” (2023) and “Through the Fire: Triumphing in Adversity” (2024), each edition has built upon the last — inviting women to heal, lead, and thrive with purpose and authenticity.

“This year, UNBOUND 2025 promises an even deeper, more intimate and expansive experience with a carefully curated lineup of thought leaders, creatives, coaches, and change agents.

Among the confirmed speakers are Mrs. Eugenia Abu, the celebrated veteran broadcaster and storyteller; Dr. Akin Akinpelu, renowned leadership strategist and organizational coach; and Mrs. Yinka Ogunde, a tireless education advocate and founder of Edumark.

Also joining the roster are Mrs. Ini Abimbola, a governance expert and sustainability consultant; Mrs. Ronke “Posh” Adeniyi, a respected parenting coach and founder of Poshville; and Mr. Ifeanyi Oputa, a creative entrepreneur and the MD/CEO of Studio24.

Adding further depth are Fadekemi Olumide-Aluko, a development expert and passionate women’s rights advocate; Dr. Unyime Ivy King, a healing therapist and author; Dr. Abena Asomaning from Ghana, an international development practitioner; and Louisa Akaiso, U.S.-based coach and founder of Women of Rubies USA. Their stories shaped by growth, struggle, resilience, and transformation — reflect the very essence of being “unbound.”

A hallmark of the UpYouWomen experience, the FireChats will return this year with their raw, unscripted honesty.

These deeply moving conversations will feature Mrs. Mary B. Okon, Emonena Akwara, Solape Ogundimu (popularly known as Flowergirl), and Omolaide Omosebi, among others. Each woman will open up about navigating trauma, transitions, and the hard-earned wisdom of triumph.

UNBOUND 2025 also marks the conference’s most interactive edition yet.

Attendees will experience mentorship corridors, live coaching sessions, wellness lounges, and spiritual and economic empowerment spaces, alongside breakout workshops and exhibitor showcases that provide room for learning, connection, and expression.
