Creative director and photographer King Martins is passionate about helping up-and-coming creatives shine. He encourages young talents to chase their passions with grit and heart, reminding them that with consistency and courage, they can turn their dreams into something powerful and help shape a bold, new creative future for Nigeria.

King Martins explained that Pixel Factory was created to make the creative process easier and more accessible, giving creators the tools and space they need to turn their ideas into impactful, monetizable work.

He recently launched Llayers, a new arm of Pixxel Factory dedicated to producing exquisite and unique canvas backdrops that elevate the visual output of photographers and videographers.

“The launch of Llayers took place on May 25 at Pixxel Factory. It wasn’t just an event, it was an experience” he said.

The launch featured interactive sets that allowed creative professionals to test the backdrops in real-time. The event also welcomed members of the public who wanted to capture beautiful moments and create lasting memories.

“It was a celebration of creativity, community, and the power of visuals done right,” he added.

Describing the Llayers canvas backdrop brand, King said it is all about adding depth; visually, emotionally, and creatively to videos and photos

“Each backdrop is designed to add dimension to storytelling, transforming ordinary shots into bold, expressive images,” he said.

“We’re building more than a product, we’re setting a standard. Our goal is to take Llayers from Lagos to the world and become the go-to canvas backdrop brand for African creatives and beyond.”

He explained that Llayers aims to empower storytellers with tools that meet global standards, ensuring that African creatives no longer have to look outside the continent for top-quality materials.

“This is just the beginning of a much bigger ecosystem,” he said. “Our backdrops directly benefit photographers and videographers by enhancing the quality of their content, giving them world-class visuals that are export-ready and globally competitive.”

King added that as the work of local creatives reaches wider audiences, new opportunities for creative exports from Nigeria will emerge.

“As the brand grows, we’ll definitely need more hands on deck. It’s all about growing a creative community that also creates real work opportunities,” he said.

“We want to inspire. We want to equip. We want every creative, from professionals to everyday people to feel like they have access to something world-class. Llayers is here to change the way we create, one backdrop at a time.”
