Tony Umez, Phyna, Rotimi Salami, Mummy Wa, and More Set To Ignite Creatives at Gleams Foundation X REAKTOR School Tour
The Gleams Foundation, in partnership with REAKTOR, has announced the lineup of keynote speakers for its highly anticipated School Tour 2025, themed “Rising Above Limitations.” The tour, which kicks off this April 2025 across five Nigerian universities, featuring an all star lineup of industry legends and rising icons Nollywood legends Tony Umez and Rotimi Salami, Big Brother Naija star Phyna, and social media sensation Mummy Wa, Rex Moses, among other industry leaders.
The speakers will headline interactive panel discussions aimed at equipping students with practical tools to navigate challenges in entertainment, entrepreneurship, and creative arts. “This is more than a tour it’s a movement,” said Gleams Foundation CEO Rex Moses (Otunba Gleams) “We’re bridging the gap between aspiration and achievement by bringing icons face-to-face with the next generation of African creatives.”
With youth unemployment at an all-time high and creative industries becoming a viable career path, the Gleams Foundation School Tour addresses a critical need. Tony Umez, known for his decades-long advocacy for youth empowerment, shared: “Talent is universal, but opportunity is not. We’re here to rewrite that narrative.”Phyna, whose rise from reality TV to starring in movies and entrepreneurship has inspired millions, added: “If I could rise above limitations so can these students, I’ll show them how.”
