American Muscle Autos targets electric, hybrid car market in Nigeria

Founder and CEO of American Muscle Autos, Nwaki Franklin, has ,laid out plans to expand into Nigeria’s electric and hybrid vehicle markets.

Markets for electric and hybrid cars in Nigeria in fast-growing, as the global industry embraces technology and cutting car emissions for greener sources to power automobiles.

Franklin, a Nigerian and America-based entrepreneur, founded American Muscle Autos in 2016. The initial years were challenging, as the company sought to establish itself in the US competitive markets.

About nine years since being founded, American Muscle Autos has flourished, expanded and penetrated into both European and American markets. Today, the company boasts a diverse inventory of over 50 cars and delivers vehicles all across Africa.

The American Muscle Autos boss is planning to leverage on the emerging markets in other parts of the world, including Africa and Nigeria, with growing demands in the latter, where vehicle owners are increasingly looking for fuel-efficiency options in the face of high cost of petrol.

In Nigeria, hybrid car options include models like Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, and other models from manufacturers like Hyundai, Honda, and Kia. These hybrid cars are mild, full, or plug-in, each with varying degrees of electric power usage. 

“By opening more locations, I can better serve diverse markets and cater to various customer segments,” the American Muscle Autos owner explained.

The American Muscle Autos is well-positioned to be a major player
in the supply of high-performance vehicles in Nigeria, with its expansion plan and incursion into several states in the country, including the commercial nerve centre, Lagos, already in the pipeline.

“I plan on having physical locations in Lagos, Nigeria, and a few other cities in Nigeria,” Nwaki Franklin stated, highlighting his intention to tap into the growing automotive market in the world’s most populous black nation.

The probable reason American Muscle Autos has been a huge success is quite obvious. Apart from Franklin’s vision and being a witty businessman, his strategy is centered on innovation and sustainability, ensuring his company remains at the forefront of the rapidly changing automotive industry.

“I want to ensure that American Muscle Autos not only thrives but also evolves with the industry, embracing new technologies and making a positive impact on the environment and community,” he stressed.
