Okpurughre Foundation Gifts Writing Materials to 10,000 Pupils in Ethiope West

..to kick-start secondary schools next

The Okpurughre Foundation for Education and Sports Development has gifted writing materials to over 10,000 pupils across primary schools in Ethiope West.

The distribution which took team members of the foundation to forty nine primary schools across Ethiope West, saw each of the pupil get a minimum of five notebooks and other essential writing materials like pen, pencil, ruler, eraser and sharpener.

Speaking on behalf of the team, renowned educationist, Mr. Peter Agbaimoni said despite the challenges posed by the terrain of the local government, he is happy that members of the foundation were able to visit every primary school in Ethiope West.

According to Mr. Agbaimoni, the exercise was driven by genuine passion to make a difference and raise giants in society, adding that it’s totally devoid of political colouration.

He commended head teachers of the various schools visited for their support and cooperation in making the exercise a success.

In their various remarks and note of appreciation, the head masters and mistresses lauded Okpurughre Foundation, adding that the exercise was the first of its kind in the LGA.

In Oghara the team visited Udurhie Primary School, Oreki Primary School, Uduaka Primary School, Uherevie Primary School, Ajenesan Primary School, Oburhie Primary School, Uduaghan Primary School, Ibori Primary School.

Others are Ekuomagbe Primary School, Okuimuemu Primary School, Onogborhe Primary School, Eyerekpokpor PrimarySchool, Otobrise Primary School, Ihwighwu Primary School, Okome Primary school, Pamol Primary School, Ejegbo Primary School, State School, Ajagbodudu and Ugbeku Ugbeku Primary School.

In Mosogar the team visited, Mosogar Primary School, Udurhie Primary School, Sam Ogbakpah Primary School, Okuomore Primary School, Akpobome Primary School, Omene Primary School, Ighoyota Primary School, Evbnogbor Primary School, Ugbakele Primary School and Okuobodo Primary School.

In Jesse, the team visited Idjerhe Primary School, Erhiekevwe Primary School, Jesse Primary School, Jenesa Primary School, Irhodo Primary School, Emuesiri Primary School, Ugbevwe Primary School, Ajavwini Primary School, Ethiope Primary School, Okueka Primary School.

Others are Edeje Primary School, Ejera Primary School, Oromafuru Primary School, Ufuoma Primary School, Onyobru Primary School, Onyobru Waterside Primary School, Oyovwi Primary School, Okuodibo Primary School, Erhivwohwo Primary School and Ovade Primary School.

A total of 10,182 pupils were recipient of the writing materials across the forty nine primary schools visited, while plans to visit the secondary schools are already in progress.
