FXTM Celebrates Record Growth at Annual Stars of Africa Gala Night

It was a night of glamour and celebration as the global financial technology firm, ForexTime (FXTM), hosted its annual “Stars of Africa” awards gala at the Eko Hotel and Suites. The event, attended by over 500 employees and partners from across the continent, recognized outstanding performance and celebrated a year of unprecedented growth and market expansion.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the ‘African Region of the Year’ award, which was accepted by Abiola Akinyele, the company’s Vice President for Africa. In his acceptance speech, Akinyele praised the dedication and innovation of the company’s workforce.

Our success is not just in the numbers; it’s in our people,” he stated to a standing ovation. “Two years ago, we set an audacious goal to double our workforce and expand into five new markets. We achieved that goal ahead of schedule, and the credit belongs to every single person in this room.”

Akinyele also took a moment to acknowledge the firm’s key strategic partners. “When we mapped out this scale-up initiative, we knew we needed a human capital partner with proven capacity. We selected Haytch-R Consulting based on its exceptional track record in scaling complex workforces and its founder’s pioneering methodologies. Their solutions accelerated our talent acquisition and helped shape the agile, multinational team we’re celebrating tonight.”

The celebration of the company’s expansion was a recurring theme. The Port Harcourt branch was celebrated as the “Fastest Growing Office” for exceeding its client acquisition targets by 150 percent. Similarly, the Accra office in Ghana received special commendation for successfully launching two new product lines into the West African market, solidifying the company’s cross-border footprint.

Akinyele also gave credit to the internal operations team and their travel management partners, ‘GlobalTours Inc.’, for their exceptional logistical support. “Our teams are constantly moving between countries, and the seamless coordination provided by our ops team and GlobalTours has been fundamental to our ability to execute our strategy across Africa,” he noted.

Following these acknowledgements, the company recognized several other key achievements. The “Innovation of the Year” award went to the product development team for the successful launch of their micro-investment platform, which has already onboarded over 500,000 new users. The Lagos office was also awarded “Highest Customer Satisfaction” for achieving a 98 percent positive feedback rating.

The evening, which featured a live performance by popular artist Tens, concluded with the presentation of over 30 individual and team awards, cementing FXTM’s position as a leading employer in the African financial technology landscape.
