Uzoma Emenike Wins Rising Digital Innovation Leader Award

On November 25, 2021, Uzoma Emenike was honoured with the Rising Digital Innovation Leader Award by the Africa Information and Communication Technology Alliance (AfICTA). This prestigious accolade celebrates emerging technology leaders who are shaping the future of digital experiences across Africa through innovative product development and forward-thinking leadership.

Uzoma received this recognition for his pivotal role as Product Manager at Nairabox, where he successfully led the development and rollout of the company’s subscription service. This feature transformed how users access entertainment, events, and digital content on the platform. Under Uzoma’s product leadership, Nairabox introduced a seamless, user-centric subscription model that increased recurring user engagement, improved platform stickiness, and opened up new revenue streams.

AfICTA’s selection panel, comprising respected figures in technology, innovation, and ICT policy, commended Uzoma’s ability to blend product vision with practical execution, highlighting his contribution to enhancing digital lifestyle accessibility across Nigeria.
