Youths Besiege Plateau Assembly, Call for Reinstatement of Removed Speaker

Youths, in large number, besieged the Plateau State Assembly Complex Monday calling for the reinstatement of the embattled Speaker, Ayuba Abok, who was last week removed by six of the 24 members of the House.

The youths, who were bearing placards, said that his removal violates the constitution.

THISDAY gathered that some lawmakers were meeting inside the Assembly Complex, but it could not be ascertained what the meeting was all about.
