Sunky O To Commemorate World HIV/AIDS Day With Awareness campaign
Sunky O has announced that his brand The Sunky O Lifestyle Company will commemorate this year’s World AIDS Day, with an awareness campaign and visit to 3 hospitals in Lagos. The campaign is in a bid to engage and start up conversation on HIV/AIDS with emphasis on prevention and safe practices.
Olasunkanmi told our correspondent that he intends to utilize the power of music, fashion, lifestyle, and social media to bring greater awareness to the HIV/AIDS epidemic and its impact on people, especially the poor and the youth. He said lots of people still discriminate against people living with HIV/AIDS and oftentimes ostracize them from society.
Chatting with our reporter about the visit, Ojulari said the planning and execution of the campaign
will be handled by his team. “Different activities and events are also being planned leading up to the visit in December.
“We intend to kick off a statewide sensitization campaign to specifically engage young people via social media on the impact of HIV/AIDS. We also plan to hold a fashion runway beach event to raise funds which will be donated to select charities helping people living with HIV/AIDS” Sunky said.
“Studies have shown that people with underlying conditions, like those living with HIV/AIDS, are more susceptible to becoming seriously sick or even die from covid 19 infection” he stated. Medical research has shown that coronavirus affects people with underlying diseases or ailments and they are prone to complications resulting from covid.

“The primary aim of the campaign is to encourage their fans and followers to know their status, get tested and also to be more sexually responsible by staying celibate, using condoms and/or keeping one sexual partner” he stated.
